Mary Elizabeth Hudspeth added this room after the house was moved to it's present position in 1913.

This was her room and the rest of the house was given over to other faculty members.

The carpet that you can see was laid soon after 1913 and is a reminder of how things used to look. It was made in Axminster England, a town still famous for weaving pure wool carpets.

This room has a sunny aspect with windows on two sides and as the setting sun shines through the stained glass windows the room just lights up. There is also a working fireplace in this room.
